Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi lost FIFA best men player award to Robert Lewandoski.
Ronaldo’s reaction after the winner was announced showed that he was unhappy that he wasn’t able to win the award.
The Polish striker has been crowned the best player for the year 2020 following an outstanding performance for Bayern Munich this year. He won five major titles for Bayern Munich including Champions League.
He scored 55 goals and 10 assists in 47 appearances across all competitions. Lewandoski would have won this year’s edition of the Ballon d’Or award, but the show was cancelled due to the outbreak of Covid-19.
Although this year’s edition of FIFA awards was done virtually, the three finalists all joined via teleconferencing. While Lionel Messi tried wearing a smile, Ronaldo was a little bit unhappy with earphones in his ears and folded arms as the winner received the award.
